was created to renew a sense of anticipation of the potential that sowing God’s word has for our lives. Each seed was drawn by hand to celebrate their variety and beauty, but more importantly, to assist you in the contemplation of truths Jesus teaches in the Parable of the Sower.
As a Christian do you treasure the Bible? I thought I did, until I stumbled on the video below from the underground church in China which convicted me.
God’s Word is so important to me, yet I've never held a Bible with such reverence and love! Here, in North America, we are blessed with innumerable resources for assimilating the Bible. It is available on our computers, phones, tablets and as audio and paper books. Entire bookstores and libraries are dedicated to books about it, commentaries, devotionals…To contemplate its unavailability is an alien thought to us. Therefore, it's easy to take God’s Word for granted.
Yet there are so many places on our planet where His precious Word is scarce. Watching the way these Bibles were received by our Chinese brothers and sisters reminds me of just how precious God's Word is or ought to be.
We, who are the recipients of an unlimited supply of God’s Word, ought to cherish the Bible as much as those in China.
In the pages of
Jesus' words about the Parable of the Sower are examined carefully. As they find their way into your heart, may you receive insight. Linger in His presence. Put the truths He reveals to practice and I promise you that life will never be the same again!

It is my prayer that as you respond to the prompts, color the drawings, read the poetry, look up the references in your own Bible, and document your specific concerns, you will grasp the explosive power of the humble seed that Jesus used as a metaphor for growth in His kingdom.

The strange thing about God’s word is that unless it's treasured, it is completely worthless. Once you grasp its value, there is nothing to stop your growth into a mighty man or woman of God!
