"For the Son of Man Is Come to Seek and to Save That Which Was Lost", acrylic painting

by Jeremy Sams
(Archdale, NC, USA)

My inspiration for this piece was from a recent bible study on God's grace. I was like the sheep: completely ruined and separated from God by my sin.

I was facing away from the Shepherd because "there is none that seeketh after God". Were it not for His gracious, merciful, and loving drawing, I would be doomed.

Thank God for His grace and His ability to effectually save those that are lost.

That gulf between the sheep and the shepherd...
and
The seeming nonchalance of the sheep to its situation...
Well depicted.

Wonderful, your art and imagination is very creative and thought provoking. I have seen many pictures of the lost sheep but this is strikingly unique because it portrays the separation of the sheep from the shepherd and the precarious rescue. well done. - RajKumar.ch, India
